Principal Secretary SED visits SCERT Divisional Office Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 4: Principal Secretary, School Education Department (SED), BK Singh visited State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Divisional Office Jammu in order to take stock of functioning of SCERT J&K. He was accompanied by Deep Raj, State Project Director SAMAGRA SHIKSHA Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Madan Gopal Sharma, Joint Director Planning School Education Department and other officers of School Education Department Director SCERT J&K Prof Veena Pandita welcomed and briefed the Principal Secretary about the structure, mandate and the initiatives taken by SCERT J&K. In the conference hall of SCERT Divisional Office Jammu, Singh interacted with the facility members of SCERT and shared his experiences, expertise and suggestions, so that the real motive of establishing SCERT as an autonomous body can be accomplished. During interaction, he focused on content enrichment training programmes which will in turn enhance the competency of the teachers at the ground level. Since SCERT has the mandate to conduct training programmes and research, SCERT has the core responsibility of framing and conducting such kind of training programmes that will focus on addressing the achievement gaps of Teachers. The facility members of SCERT need to polish the hidden talent of the teachers while conducting the training programmes. Surinder Kumar, Joint Director SCERT Divisional Office Jammu thanked BK Singh for having a visit to SCERT and encouraging the faculty members by sharing his experiences with them. |
