EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 4: NSS GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and supervision of NSS PO, Dr Deepali Mahajan organized cleaning of river Tawi celebrating Rivers of India under Clean India campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The NSS volunteers with full zeal and enthusiasm collected large amount of trash from the river. The main focus being the awareness to clean water bodies rejuvenating them giving a strong message to local community people. They urged people to ensure the sanctity and purity of the holy river. NSS volunteers performed aarti with the priest of the temple Har Ki Pouri chanting mantras the devotion to nature is must. Cleaning the sacred rivers is our prime responsibility. The participation of youth in cleanliness drive was appreciated by the Principal of the college. Anchal singh, Sahil Sharma, Nancy Sharma, sartik Vaid, Aaghav Arora, Pallav Singh Pawar, Suhani Sharma, Ajinka Sharma, pranav Sharma, Sajal Mahajan , Vishal Sagar, Tushar Mehra, Aman Mandi, Neeru, Reetik Kapahi, Kartik Sharma, Sonal Sharma ,Divya Surmal NSS volunteers collected 25 kg trash from River Tawi and handed it over to JMC.
