| NHPC organizes painting competition on energy conservation | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 4: Under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the Ministry of Power, Government of India and BEE a painting completion for the school children was organized here today at NHPC Regional Office Complex.
On the occasion, Rajan Kumar, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu said that one of the important events being organized to make people aware of energy conservation is painting competition, in which a public awareness campaign can be run by students. NHPC is feeling proud to be associated with this programme. Today, a differently abled girl who was unable to come out of her house was visited by the NHPC officials to ensure her participation in this competition which shows our commitment towards energy conservation.
He said that under the leadership of Abhay Kumar Singh, CMD NHPC, an awareness programme on energy conservation is being organized by NHPC from time to time. Congratulating all the students for the painting competition, Abhay Kumar Singh asked the students to make people aware and spread the message of energy conservation.
In this competition, a total prize money of Rs 3.50 lakh will be distributed to the winners. Rajan Kumar appeals to everyone to cooperate fully in such awareness related works.
