| GDC Budhal organizes poster making competition on TB awareness campaign | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Dec 4: The Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Budhal, Rajouri organized a college level poster-making competition on TB awareness campaign.
This awareness campaign was organized under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ India @ 75 (Phase 3).
The event was held under the patronage of Principal, Prof Mohd Mazammal Hussain.
Students of the college enthusiastically participated in the activity and prepared posters highlighting the causes, effects and preventive measures related to TB. The participants were adjudged by jury members Dr Mohd farooq (HOD, Arabic), Dr Mohd Yaqoob (HOD, Zoology) and Dr Gouhar Ahmed Shapoo (HOD, Botany). Shafia Bhat, Ulfat Farooq and Shazia Bhat bagged first, second and third position respectively. The winners were rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 1000, Rs 750 and Rs 500 respectively.
Principal of the college encouraged all the participants and winners of the competition and exhorted them to be active participants in the activities of the college which would be organized in near future.
The event was organized by Dr Daya Ram, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club and coordinated by Dr Amarjeet Singh (HOD Punjabi). Other faculty members including Prof Ajaz Ahmed (NSS Program Officer), Dr Syed Mohmad Javad (HOD Persian), Shashi Devi, Dr Sumyrah Jeelani, Dr Tajamul Islam Malik and Riya Bajral were also present on the occasion. |
