Induction programme concludes at YCET | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 4: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) concluded two-day long Induction Programme today. The event opened with motivational and informational interactions of the students with Prof AK Srivastava, Director, YCET in which he emphasized on anti-ragging and discipline. The 2nd Day of online orientation programme began with the introduction of Applied Science Department by Dr Rakesh Verma, HOD (Applied Sciences). Further, Er Loveneesh Talwar, HOD (Electrical Engineering) gave presentation about YCET. First speaker of the day was Dr Amitava Bhattacharya, Associate Professor, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, who gave a brief introduction about the Linear Algebra and how puzzles can be solved using linear algebra. Further the session was followed by Dr Mesfin Belachew, Strategic Director, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Ethiopia gave important information about the Digital Transformation and Career Opportunity. Further, Dr Vinod Kumar, District Nodal Officer, made students aware about pervasive technologies i.e. computing, communicating & controlling. He briefed students about Industry 4.0 and time to reach 100 million customers, product life cycle and also explained the innovation and entrepreneurship ( I&E ) Ecosystem etc. This was followed by the motivational lecture by Dr Manmeet Singh, Psychiatrist, ASCOMS, Batra Jammu, in which he briefed about being physically fit & healthy body tends to increase the proportion of endorphins in our mind by reducing body-induced mental stresses. The proceedings of the day ended with emphasis on total overall development. It was very enriching and enlightening session for the students and for the faculty as well.
