CBJ produces charge-sheet against Govt teacher, employee of JKSSRB in fraud case

JAMMU, Dec 4: Crime Branch Jammu (CBJ) produced chargesheet against a Govt teacher and co-accused for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy in forging a document (Marks sheet of 12 class) and using it for purpose of securing job as a teacher in Govt Middle School Salotri, Zone Kanuyian, District Poonch.
The chargesheet was produced against Sumit Gill S/o Jagdish Kumar R/o Ward No 2, Mohalla Kamsar, District Poonch and Late Mohd Sajjad S/o Bagh Hussain R/o Mohalla Qasaayain, District Poonch in case FIR No 28/2018 U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 201/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu.
The case was registered by Crime Branch Jammu after allegations of fraud and cheating for securing govt job by the accused were prima-facie established during a Preliminary enquiry conducted by the Crime Branch on receipt of the complaint lodged by one Yogesh Kumar S/O Kalu Ram R/o Ward No 2, Mohalla Kamsar, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch to the effect that the accused who is working as a teacher in GMS Salotri, Zone Kanuyian, District Poonch, has obtained his job on the basis of 12th pass Qualification having scored 370 marks out of 600, since the eligibility for 12th class students at that time was to have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in the examination, whereas the accused had actually scored 274 marks out of 600 which were less than the required percentage.
During the course of investigation documents were obtained from the Board of school Education, SSB J&K, CEO Poonch, ZEO Kanuyaan (Mandi) and Distt Employment & Counselling Centre, Poonch, besides oral as well as scientific evidence was also collected which proved that the accused Sumit Gill in connivance with the accused Mohd Sajjad, hatched a criminal conspiracy, committed the offences of cheating in order to obtain benefit by submitting a fake and forged document which amounts to the commission of offences punishable under the relevant sections of law.
The charge-sheet has been produced in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Poonch for judicial determination.
