| Chhamb farmers facing problems due to government's negligence: Bharat Priye | | |

JAMMU, Dec 4: Congress leader Bharat Priye organized a press conference in Khour block to apprise the government of the various problems being faced by the farmers and villagers of the Chamb assembly constituency. Priye said that there are many such issues of the border farmers which are pending for decades, which are not being given any attention by the government.
At present, the time of sowing of the crop is going on but farmers are not getting fertilizers and seeds on time. Apart from this, there is no time for opening and closing of grain markets. Till now no compensation has been received for the land of the farmers acquired for tarbandhi. Farmers cannot even grow crops on this land, he said.
Priye said that during the Kargil war, the farmers on whose land the mines were installed have not yet received compensation for the farmers. Even after the tender has been floated several times, the construction work of the bridge going from Indripatan to Pargwal has not been completed, due to which people face problems in commuting. In the border areas, open recruitment rally was held during the time of Congress, but since the BJP government came to power, no open recruitment rally was conducted. |
