| GDC Chenani celebrates international mountain day | | | Early Times Report
CHENANI, Dec 11: Government Degree College, Chenani celebrated the international mountain day on the theme "sustainable mountain tourism" to create awareness about the importance of mountains to life, to highlight the opportunities and constraints in mountain development and to build alliances that will bring positive change to people living in the mountains.
An intra-college quiz competition was organized with the aim to educate the students about the importance of mountains and particularly to aware them about their sustainable tourism potential. A team lead by Mohammad Shahnawaz Khan of fifth semester bagged the first position, Neeraj Sharma and his team of same semester bagged the second position while the third position was a tie between two teams.
