Five day workshop on 'New Media' concludes at JU

JAMMU, Dec 11: Five-day workshop on "New Media" organized by the Department of painting, Institute of Music and fine (IMFA), University of Jammu concluded today. Dr. Chaman Lal, Ex-MLA, Ramban was the chief guest on the valedictory function. Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Principal (IMFA), Dr. Milan Sharma, HOD Painting Department also grace the occasion.
Speakers described the workshop as most informative as it was conducted by a reputed artist, Abhijit Pathak of the country, who during these five days interacted with various subjects of media art with profound interest. Dr. Lal lauded the efforts of IMFA for organizing a media workshop for the 1st time in the history.
Praising the painting made by the students during the five days, Dr. Chaman Lal stressed the students to maintain brotherhood & communal harmony through their painting. He further said under the headship of Prof. Shohab is gaining more & more popularity among the society. Pathak while speaking on the occasion thanked the IMFA and said that the students of IMFA have all qualities of becoming a good painter in near future.
