| GDC Thannamandi organizes lecture on cyber crimes | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 11: Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi organized a guest lecture under the Cyber Jagrookta Diwas with the theme "Awareness Programme on forgery and fraud from mobile devices and OTP fraud." The event was held in the college conference hall under the overall supervision of Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmad Qazi.
Dr. Khalid Rayaz Staff Secretary of the College started the programme with brief introduction about the Cyber Crime Awareness and welcomed the speaker and all the guests. The resource person of the event was Divya Mahajan HOD Department of Computer Applications GDC Thanannamdi. The resource person in her speech highlighted all the important issues related to mobile phone fraud and OTP by showing different power point slides. The Chief Guest of the programme was principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmad Qazi who impressed upon the students to utilize the phones only for useful purposes and beware of the OTP frauds and other mobile related cyber crimes. The event was coordinated by Prof. Mudasir Majeed (Nodal Officer for Cyber Jagrookta Diwas) and attended by a good number of faculty, Non teaching staff and a huge gathering of students. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Chief Librarian Waqar Ahmad. |
