| GDC Kathua conducts cleanliness drive in college campus | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Dec 11: In continuation to its activities under Clean India Campaign which started from Ist Dec. 2021 directed by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India and NSS regional directorate of New Delhi, the NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC), Kathua today organised cleanliness drive in arts block of the college . Volunteers collected heavy amount of plastic and other waste from the area and also aware the students to Say No to Single use Plastic and polythene.This Campaign was organised under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The volunteers also made students aware of the consequences of using plastic and its affects on environment and health. Volunteers appealed the students to become youth ambassador to carry forward this campaign in their respective areas.
Prof. Raj Kiran Principal, GDC Kathua applauded the untiring efforts of the NSS team and Volunteers.
Activity was performed under the supervision of NSS Program Officers Prof. Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof. Neha Bandral. |
