Secretariat Assistants training course concludes

SRINAGAR, Dec 11: Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (J&K IMPARD) Saurabh Bhaghat, presided over the Valedictory function of two months' Secretariat Assistants Training Course here at Srinagar today.
Various faculty members and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The Training Course started on October 11th, 2021. It was attended by 560 participants from various departments of UT of J&K. Owing to strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols the participants were divided into two groups. The 1st group was composed of 171 Sr. Assistants. The 2nd group comprised 389 participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Saurabh Bhagat congratulated the participants on having completed their training successfully.
Director General Informed the trainees that there is well defined career advancement policy with the J & K Govt. for the promotion of the employees of the category of senior and junior assistants to higher positions. In pursuance of this policy, the employees are required to undergo a formal off the job Secretariat Assistants Training (SAT) and qualify the departmental examination conducted by the Public Service Commission. For this purpose SAT programmes are being organised by the IMPARD round the year.
He told them that the purpose of the Secretariat Assistants Training Course is manifold. It prepares frontline functionaries, such as Senior Assistants and Jr. Assistants, to perform their duties effectively.
He further informed the Trainees that infrastructural development would include constructing a large computer lab for the benefit of trainees of various training courses to be conducted in IMPARD and presently a newly constructed Block will serve as separate Secretariat Assistant Training Block within IMPARD.
He specially thanked the Chief Secretary to J&K Government for extending support to IMPARD activities.
The Director General also distributed certificates to the trainee participants. Trainee Participants appreciated the hard work put by Dr. Rukaya Amin,Dr.Humera, Dr. Bila, Nighat Amin, Course Coordinators in entire training programme.
