Internet must be in different languages
12/11/2021 10:47:36 PM

Vijay Garg

When people read messages in their own language on a site or app, only then do they become confident and comfortable about making a payment. This is the reason why it is very important to have this technique in different languages.
It is very important to have internet in different languages. Today, a large population of India is deprived of internet access because it only agrees with regional languages. In such a situation, there is a need for multilingual internet to ensure access and use of internet to all. To fulfill this need, the central government is bringing a scheme to make the Internet multilingual. This information has been given by the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Rajiv Chandrashekhar. He has told that the central government is going to connect those 400 million Indians with the Internet, who do not use it yet.
Internet media should come under accountability: Companies should be accountable to the public, but not completely subordinate to the government
It is noteworthy that today the English language dominates the Internet. More than half of the home pages of the most visited websites on the World Wide Web are in English. Since the new education policy also encourages the use of regional languages. Therefore, it is imperative that technology platforms support regional languages along with the Internet to ensure digital inclusion. Through multilingual internet we can connect more than 400 million internet users.
Changing behavior of democracy: Internet media, which has gained wide penetration among the people, is distorting the tested form of democracy
Last year, due to the increasing infection of Corona, there was a lockdown in the country and abroad, due to which all educational institutions were closed.
Then under compulsion, children and teachers made online education a medium for studies. In such a situation, it can be said that in today’s time internet is the primary requirement. In a democratic and developing country like India, it is very important to spread the internet to all the people. Today 56 crore population of the country has access to the internet, but even more population will be away from the use of internet.
Internet media becoming troublesome: need of the hour to rein in unbridled Internet media companies doing arbitrariness around the world
It was expected that 100 million more people would be connected to the Internet within the next two years. Yet half of the country’s population will be deprived of internet access. The biggest obstacle in this is related to language. According to a survey, consumers buying from online stores generally prefer to buy from the site in their native language. Their native language proves to be very helpful in this.
Another research shows that over 56.2 percent of consumers are more comfortable paying in their native language available on the website. When people read and understand the content in the website, their confidence increases. In such a situation, realizing the need to remove the language barrier, the initiative of the government is commendable. Now it can be expected that this initiative will make a big contribution to the economic, educational and cultural development of the country.
