DIC Jammu holds awareness camps on PMEGP, other self-employment schemes in Dansal Block

JAMMU, Dec 11: To extend the benefits of self employment schemes to the border people of the UT of J&K, District Industries Centre, Jammu today held a series of awareness camps in border villages.
Subah Mehta, General Manager, DIC Jammu conducted along with the team of officers and field staff at Block Dansal, organised three Awareness camps at Panchayat Churta, Panchayat Dansal and Panchayat Janakha.
The team appraised the locals about various schemes being implemented by DIC Jammu in industrial and service sectors along with PMEGP schemes.
While welcoming the Sarpanchs and participants, Mohammad Ashraf, Project Manager DIC Jammu made the participants aware about various schemes being implemented by the UT and Central Government, to make the youth job creators instead of job seekers. They were informed about the benefits / subsidies being offered by the DIC to the registered persons.
While highlighting various schemes, Project Manager informed the locals that they can start their small ventures by availing PMEGP Scheme under Manufacturing and service sectors.
Tarun Gupta, IPO and Pawan Kumar, BI of DIC Jammu explained the procedure and various formalities required for registration under MSME and uploading of application forms under PMEGP scheme.
They appealed youths to come forward to avail the credit linked subsidized loans by starting their ventures under the Manufacturing and Service Sectors wherein the loans upto 10.00 lakh and up to Rs. 25.00 lakh can be availed under the service and manufacturing sector, respectively with subsidy ranging from 15% to 35%.
The team informed that the beneficiary under this scheme becomes eligible for expansion of the previous PMEGP unit for up to Rs. 25 lakh in the Service Sector and up to Rs. 1.00 Crore in Manufacturing Sector after adjustment of Margin Money claim (subsidy) and repayment of first loan within stipulated time.
It was further informed that the applicant / candidate shall be minimum 18 years age and 8th standard pass and the minimum documents required are Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport Size Photographs- 2 Nos., Detailed Project Report (DPR), Highest education Qualification Certificate, Rural Area Certificate - attested by Sarpanch (in case of Rural Area Units) and Category Certificate-SC/ST/OBC/ Handicapped / Ex-serviceman (if any).
