| BGSBU celebrates international mountain day | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 11: In connection with Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in collaboration with WWF-India organized a symposium to celebrate International Mountain Day. The symposium was organized on the topic ‘Sustainable Mountain Tourism’ which is also this year’s theme of IMD.
Vice Chancellor BGSBU, Prof. Akbar Masood congratulated the centre for organizing the event. Prof. Akbar said that mountains are the fountains of live and said that around one billion people live in mountain areas and over half of the human population depends on mountains for water and nutrition. He said that sustainable mountain tourism has great potential to stimulate socio-economic development of local communities. 11 students from MBA hospitality and tourism and B. Voc Travel and Tourism participated in the symposium. |
