NABARD team reviews status of NAFCC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 11: A team of officers from NABARD comprising of AGM Jammu Sonika Rana, Project Manager CSA Mumbai, Ravi Parmar and Assistant Manager FSDD Mumbai, Robinson reviewed the status of the National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change (NAFCC), a flagship program of the Government of India (GOI) at Block Bhalwal here today. Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu, Dr. Arvind Kumar Baru, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Marh, Dr. Ashwani Kumar Jojra, Progamme Officer JDA Ext., Dr. Sanjay Dhar and other staff members of the Zone Bhalwal attended the meeting. Other officers present on the occasion included Dr. Sarvjeet Singh, Dr. Vijay Koul, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Dr. Anshu Banotra & Dr. Rajeev Sharma. AEO Bhalwal, Dr. Vandana Kotwal welcomed the team on behalf of the zonal staff and briefed the team about the project. AGM NABARD assured that with the active support of NABARD & guidance of the Department of Agriculture the objective of the project will be achieved in a time bound manner. The Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu interacted with the field staff and advised them to work on mission mode to address the farmers issues on priority. The team visited different villages of the block Bhalwal covered under the NAFCC Project. The visiting team inspected different works executed under the project like Vermicompost units, Borewells, Dairy as well as Poultry units etc. The team also inspected the under construction Soil Testing laboratory being set up under the NAFCC Project at Bhalwal. On completion, this laboratory will facilitate the farmers of the area in the soil testing process. |
