Issues related to ownership rights and godowns space for traders was discussed with VC JDA. He said that the trading community is facing a lot of congestion due to lack of space with an increase in the business establishments since 1956. Gupta said that JDA is running a parking lot in ware house with a capacity of 100 vehicles which is insufficient and its capacity should be enhanced to at least 200 cars. Besides car parking, this wholesale mandi also needs separate parking for trucks and other load carriers. There is sufficient space available along Tawi river banks and JDA should convert this space into parking space for trucks and other load carriers.
