| Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha celebrates Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan's birth anniversary | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 23: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha celebrated Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan's 132th birth anniversary. Romesh Gupta, Sabha President while remembering Justice Mahajan said that it was he who as a member of Radcliffe Boundary Commission for Punjab who ensured a road connectivity to Jammu through Gurdaspur.
Later as Prime Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Justice Mahajan was instrumental in getting the state's accession with India. He said that when he retired as 3rd Chief Justice of India there was no pendency of cases in the Court. He said that his role as a social reformer within the community and would always be remembered. He described him as a great patriot with whose efforts Jammu & Kashmir became a part of India.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC also highlighted the achievements and recalled the earlier career on the life of Justice Mahajan. Ravi Rohmetra, a noted columnist, spoke about the life history of Justice Mahajan and recalled his contribution in different capacities.
