| “National Energy Conservation” week concludes at GDC Thannamandi | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Dec 23: NSS Unit of GDC Thannamandi under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava concluded a week long activities on “National Energy Conservation”. The whole programme was organised under the patronage of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi. 1st activity was jointly organized by Department of Botany and Physics on poster making competition on the theme “Conserve Energy save the future”. In the poster making competition Adnan Aqib, Saiba Khan, and Shagufta Pervaiz secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively. 2nd activity was organized by NSS Unit of College in which a slogan writing competition was organised on theme” Energy Conservation”. A good number of students participated in the event. On this occasion NSS Programme Officer Prof. Muhammad Shoket enlightened the students that energy conservation is very important to save the planet. In the slogan writing competition Ishrat Javaid of sem. 5th secured first position where as Javaria Khan of Sem. 1st clinched second position and Saiba Khan of sem. 1st bagged third position. 3rd activity was also organized by NSS Unit of the college in which an essay writing competition was organized on the theme “Energy Conservation”. In essay writing competition a good number of volunteers participated. The judges of the event were Prof. Khalid Rayaz HoD Geography Prof. Tahir Nadeem HoD Applied Maths and Prof. Tajinder Singh HoD Botany. In essay writing competition Misbha Raina of B.A Sem 1st, Ishrat Javaid of Bsc. Sem 5th and Saiba Khan of Sem 1st secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively. |
