| GDC RS Pura organizes poster making competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 23: As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Department of Education of GDC RS Pura organized an online poster making competition on the theme “Know Your Constitution” today under the guidance of the Principal, Prof. Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Assistant Professor of Education. A total of 15 students participated in the online competition with full zeal and enthusiasm and exhibited their inner talent by making beautiful posters. Survi Verma Semester 5th bagged 1st prize, Smile Choudhary of semester 1st bagged 2nd prize respectively whereas the third prize was shared by Payal Kumari and Priya Sharma from semester 3rd. The event was adjudged by Dr. Neena Gupta and Prof. Jai Mala Thakur.
The principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the Department and lauded the students for their active participation in such activities. E- Certificates will be awarded to first three positions.
Meanwhile, Department of Dogri, Govt. Degree College, RS Pura also organized a programme on “Dogri Manta Divas” under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The event was conducted under the patronship of Principal of the college, Prof. Sunil Uppal and supervision of Dr. Sharmistha Sharma HOD Dogri. Speaking on the occasion HOD Dogri welcomed the students and said that “Manta Divas’ is a day of pride for all dogras which should be celebrated all over the Jammu region and all inhabitants of Jammu should contribute in the development of this language.
Dr. Rajnish Kumar said that inclusion of Dogri in 8th schedule of Indian constitution has paved a way for multidimensional development of Dogri language.
