| GDC Dudu organizes essay writing competition | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: Govt Degree College Dudu Basantgarh, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, organized an essay writing competition on the theme “Energy Efficient India”.
Fifteen students of Semester 2nd, 3rd, and 5th took part in the competition. Surjeet Kumar (Sem-5th) got the first prize, Nitu Devi (Sem-2) secured second place and Surjit Kumar (Sem-3rd) and Sunil Kumar (Sem-5th) shared the 3RD prize.
While addressing the students and participants, principal of the college Dr. Bhavnaish Chand Anthal motivated the students to save various non-renewable resources which will be required by us as well as our future generations. He brought very important points into the notice of students regarding the recent progress made by India in energy conservation and its efficient use. Energy efficiency and renewable energy are said to be the twin pillars of sustainable energy policy.
The other faculty members presented on the occasion were Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Kundal, Prof. Vijay Kumar, Dr. PP Singh and Dr. Ravi Kumar. Whereas Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Kundal and Prof. Vijay Kumar acted as jury members. |
