Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 31: Government Degree College R.S. Pura, in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, organized one day workshop on the topic "Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme". Principal of the College, Prof. Sunil Uppal, was the chief guest, while as Dr. G Durga Rao was the guest of honour. Shivali Choudhary, J&K REDC, UT coordinator was the resource person in the workshop. The programme began with the welcome address by Dr. Balwinder Kour, Convener, Career Counseling Cell. Dr. Rao in his address stressed that college students should create jobs rather than search for jobs. He also emphasized on the importance of rural entrepreneurship in growth of Indian Economy. The resource person for the workshop made an elaborative presentation about challenges of rural entrepreneurship, management, small scale manufacturing business ideas and various activities performed by villagers through creative ideas. She stressed upon the benefits of rural entrepreneurship for the better living standards of the rural people and rural economy as well. |
