Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: BJP Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma on Saturday said that proposals submitted by the Delimitation Commission are an attempt to end the injustice and discrimination which J&K has been facing for the past 70-years. While talking to Early Times Sharma said, “The Delimitation Panel has worked out a proposal to give an equal number of assembly seats to all the districts across J&K. It’s a move towards providing equal representation to all the areas.” He, however, expressed displeasure over the Delimitation Commission merging Rajouri and Poonch areas with Anantnag parliamentary seat. “These areas were a part of Jammu r >Expresses displeasure over linking of Poonch, Rajouri with Anantnag >Says BJP will file objections to get issues raised by workers addressed gion but now they will be linked with Kashmir. Anyway these areas will still continue to be a part of Jammu and Kashmir,” Sharma added. He said, “Opposition parties have been left with no issue that’s why they are saying that the Delimitation panel has prepared the report at BJP’s behest are unable to see that only BJP activists are tendering their resignations and are staging protests. These parties can say anything. BJP has got nothing to do with the report submitted by the Delimitation Commission.” He said, “There is resentment among the BJP workers against the report. We will file objections and try to get the issues raised by our workers addressed.” |
