| GDC Chenani celebrates International Mother Language Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 21: Govt. Degree College, Chenani under the auspices of its NSS unit PRAYATNA, IQAC, and AKAM organised a one day Seminar on 21st February 2022 to commemorate the International Mother Language Day.
The theme of the Seminar was 'Using Technology for Multilingual Learning: Challenges and Opportunities". The event was aimed at safeguarding and promoting the Dogri language as the mother tongue.
Sunil Kumar, Asst. Prof. in Dogri presented a lecture on the occasion while the students of Dogri Dept. presented their relevant ideas on the theme. The crux of the seminar was that a Language is the most powerful tool to expand the vision of human beings and broaden their faculties and help people understand the value of social contract. Language inspires people to come closer irrespective of their natural, social, economic and cultural differences. Different societies have different languages but the power of language is universal.
Principal of the College, Dr. Pragya Khanna appreciated the efforts of the students and the staff in organizing the program with great enthusiasm. |
