| Bemina colony turns into cesspool, admin unmoved | | |

Srinagar, Feb 21: Residents of sector 11 Hamdaniya Colony at Bemina here staged a protest against the authorities for failing to construct a proper drainage system in the area.
“Road leading to our colony remains waterlogged in winter as well as summer season. For the past four years we have been running after the officials to get this drainage system repaired but no one wants to listen to us,” residents said. They said that all the claims about development are “confined to papers only” and “nothing is happening on the ground.” “After two years children will be going to schools but we are worried how they will cross the road. Our area has turned into a cesspool,” they added. |
