DC Jammu listens to public grievances at Block Dansal | Flags off Mobile Van for doorstep distribution of land passbook | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 2: Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg today attended a public outreach program under Weekly Block Divas here at Dansal. A number of delegations from different Panchayats, besides scores of individuals apprised him about the problems being faced by them in day to day life. The PRI members one by one highlighted the issues regarding their respective Panchayats which were mainly related to irregular supply of water and electricity, ration cards, IAY, Road connectivity, up-gradation of schools, health centres etc. The Deputy Commissioner gave patient hearing to the PRI members, delegations and individuals and passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for early redress of their genuine grievances. He assured that the highlighted issues of public importance will be taken up with higher authorities besides all the pendency and public service delivery slackness shall be reviewed thoroughly. The Deputy Commissioner said that Weekly Block Divas is an opportunity to get firsthand information regarding the issues/problems being faced by the people. He impressed upon the officers to work with zeal to achieve the development targets and improve the public services delivery in the rural areas. He said that the motive of this public outreach program was to reach out to the people and understand their problems. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated the newly renovated building of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Dansal. The DC took a round of the building and expressed his satisfaction over the work. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner handed over the land pass books to the land owners and also flagged off a mobile van for distribution of land passbook at doorsteps of the people through special camps across Tehsil Dansal. Highlighting the benefits of the Land Pass Book, the DC said it has been prescribed by the Revenue Department and was true to the Revenue record and can be generated online. The DC also observed that the Land Passbook will provide Revenue related information to the land owners in a very simple form, besides act as a valid paper to present to financial and other institutions for different purposes.
