Panch’s killing punctures normalcy balloon | | | Early Times Report
Kulgam, Mar 2: Amidst tall claims about normalcy returning to Kashmir militants once again struck in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and shot dead a Panch on Wednesday evening. Officials said that Panch identified as Mohammad Yaqoob Dar of Kulpora Srandroo Kulgam was shot from point blank range. Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kulgam, Dr. Muzaffar Zargar said that Panch was brought dead to the hospital. After the attack security forces cordoned off the area and launched searches to nab the assailants. The killing of a Panch has come at a time when the government is claiming that Kashmir situation has returned to normal and everything is hunky-dory. “The helmsmen need to peep out from their secure zones so that they can feel the ground situation. The ultras sponsored by Pakistan are much present in the Valley and they are choosing soft targets to make their presence felt,” said, a politician. |
