Jamola village has no bridge, residents aghast | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 15: Residents of Jamola area in Rajouri district are up in arms against the government for its failure to construct a bridge. “Even in 2022 we have to cross the nallah on foot as the government has not been able to connect our area. School going children, elderly people are the worst sufferers as they have to cross the stream without any help most of the time,” residents said. They said in case of an emergency the residents carry the sick people on palanquins to the hospital as ambulances can’t reach Jamola. “We want to tell the government that we too are human beings and need to be treated at par with others,” they added. Residents urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and direct the concerned authorities to start the work on the bridge so that they could get some respite. |
