2 CRPF men injured in IED blast in south Kashmir | | | Early Times REport
Srinagar, May 2: Two personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in south Kashmir's Awantipora sub-district, police said. The IED blast took place at Larmoo Tral in Awantipora, when a joint team of police and CRPF were conducting area domination in the area in two bullet proof vehicles. "A joint team of Police & CRPF were conducting area domination in 02 BP bankers, during which a minor #IED #blast took place in Larmoo #Tral, #Awantipora. 02 CRPF personnel got minor injuries," Inspector General of Police, Kahsmir Vijay Kumar was quoted in a police tweet. He said the forces team retaliated and reinforcement was sent, along with senior officers. Earlier in the day, a low-intensity IED was detected and defused in south Kashmir's Pulwama district Police said the IED was detected along the Pulwama Rajpora road by forces this morning. The officials said police and the Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot and defused the IED.
