| Protesting JMC daily wagers receive batons in lieu of demands | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 5: The daily wagers of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) faced the wrath of the Jammu & Kashmir Police personnel while they were protesting in support of their demands.
The protesters reached the office of Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta and carried out a strong protest against the alleged high-handedness of the police personnel. The protesters raised slogans against the higher-ups and said that they did not take law in their hands while carrying out the protest.
The daily wagers said that they are waiting for the regularization for years together adding that the wages are also pending for many months as on date. They said that they have put in service of 25 years and despite this they services have not been regularized. The protesters said that they are not demanding moon and stars from the people at helm. |
