Early Times Report JAMMU, May 5: The Puja and Mahurat of Jammu Smart City Project "Heritage Trail work" in old Jammu City area was done by deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma JMC at Panjtirthi. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 16.50 Crores. The project area started from Panjtirthi Chowk to Mubarak Mandi to Raghunath Bazaar via Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Raj Tilak Road, Jain Bazaar, Dhaki Sarajan, Kanak Mandi, Purani Mandi, Old Hospital road. The scope of the work includes improvement of roads, construction of pedestrian friendly foot paths on road sides, street lighting, work on drains, communication cable ducts in Mubarak Mandi & Raghunath Bazaar area. The works also include improvement of parks at Rani Park & Purani Mandi, cobble stone flooring in roads from Panjtirthi to Mubarak Mandi & at Raghunath Bazaar and construction of gate at City Chowk. Many people including corporator of ward 5 JMC were present on this occasion. The deputy Mayor thanked the Prime Minister for whole hearted support in all round development of Jammu city under various programmes and particularly under Jammu Smart City Project of thousands of crores. Various projects for beautification of Jammu City are under execution presently. |
