Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 22: Hundreds of employees of Rehbar-e-Khel, Zirat and Janglat on Sunday protested against the government decision to re-advertise these posts and demanded roll back of the order. at Press Enclave in Srinagar on Sunday. The administration in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday decided to re-advertise the Rehbar-e-Khel, Zirat and Janglat posts and send them to the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB). Hundreds of slogan shouting employees with placards assembled at Press Enclave on Residency Road here, demanding roll back of the order. Talking to mediapersons, the employee said that about four to five years ago, the then government under a cabinet order launched a scheme during which Rehbar-e-Janglat, Rehbar-e-Taleem, Rehbar-e-Khel and NYC were appointed. He said the employees appointed under Rehbar-e-Janglat were being paid Rs 3000 to 4000, who are all post graduates and had even completed their Phd in forestry. He said there was an agreement with them that after five years their jobs, would be regulasized. "We have been assured time and again that their jobs would be made permanent and they were supposed to be regularized in August 2022 this year", he said. He said that the employees who have been engaged in Rehbar-e-Khel are also post graduates and that many who had cleared NEET and SET examS were sure that those would also get permanent jobs after completing seven years in service. "It is a very unfortunate order from the authorities by which all the vacancies are being de-freezed and are being referred to JKSSB", he added. He said that when these would get referred to JKSSB, it is imminent that there would be no vacancy for the persons who are working on these posts", he feared. "We had been told that these employees would be given age relaxation also", he said and added "Where a person would go after doing the service for five years and crossed the age limit now". He said "We are in protest and under the democratic set up whatever would be possible we will force the government to roll back this order . We will knock the doors of the court and even go to the supreme court of India to get the justice", he added
