Day long children art workshop organized

JAMMU, May 22: Kala Vriksh Cntemporary Sculpture Studio, in collaboration with Aggarwal Dharamshala, Jammu organized One Day Art Workshop- cum- On the Spot Art Competition at community hall of the Aggarwal Dharamshala, Sunder Singh Gurdwara Marg, Jammu. The programme organized by senior sculptor Sonu Aggarwal, and sponsored by Ashok & Brothers, R S Pura, Varadhman Jewellers, Talab Tillo, Sanjay Gupta, Architect, Gandhi Nagar, Taranum Aggarwal, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, Anjali Art World, Rehari, Kesar At Circle, Exhibition Ground, Arti Bahu Artist, Akhnoor, Amit & Dheeraj Aggarwal, Gummat, Harvans Aggarwal, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, was attended by more than seventy young art competitors accompanied by their parents.
The students of Fine Arts Department of Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu gave demonstrations of painting and drawing techniques to the young children. '
An On the Spot Art Competition was also organized on this occasion. The competition was divided into age groups- Junior and Senior Groups. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes, adjudged by Senior Artist Rohit Verma, Arty and Parveen Kumar, in each group were given on the spot.
According to Sonu Aggarwal, the organizer of the event, 'The main emphasis of organizing the event was to focus on the attracting children towards art and explore for them the possibilities in exploring art environment at their own place.'
Senior artists Jang S. Verman, Suresh Sharma, Ankush Kesar and prominent citizens were present in the workshop- cum- Competion organized by Sonu Aggarwal, a senior and prominent female sculptor of Jammu & Kashmir.
