Shiv Sena demands respectable Govt jobs, compensation of Rs 2 cr for families of terror victims | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 23: The Shivsena Jammu and Kashmir unit urged the government to provide respectable government jobs with Rs 2 crore each for the families of Rahul Bhatt and Ranjit Singh, who have lost their lives in a terrorist attacks. Addressing media persons at Party's state office in Jammu today, State Chief Manish Sahni termed the killing of Rahul Bhat and Ranjit Singh as another cowardly act of terrorist active in Kashmir and asked the governments both at the Centre and in the UT to take some effective steps to stop terrorists from unleashing the reign of terror as they are targeting people at their will with no fear of law and the security forces. Sahni resented that after the killing of Rahul Bhatt, the government had given only Rs 5 lakh as compensation to his family and a modest government job to his wife, while Ranjit Singh's family would get only Rs 1 lakh and SPO job. The payment of compensation shows the indifference of the government towards the Kashmiri Hindus. While expressing condolences to the families of Rahul Bhatt and Ranjit Singh, Sahni said that it is almost impossible to compensate for the loss that has reached these families, but with proper government help, their sufferings can be reduced to some extent. Sahni demanded a compensation of Rs two crores and respectable government jobs for both the family members. Besides the government should also bear all the expenses of Rahul Bhatt's 6-year-old daughter till she would complete her higher level of education. General Secretary Vikas Bakshi and Chairman Rakesh Gupta were also present on this occasion. |
