| NSS Unit of GDC Ukhral celebrates international day for biological diversity | | |

JAMMU, May 23: NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Ukhral in today on 23rd of May 2022 organized a seminar on theme "Building a Shared Future For All Life-2022" to celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity. The seminar was organized to increase the understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. The program was inaugurated by worthy Principal of the College Prof. (Dr) Ranvijay Singh. In his address to the students he said that biodiversity provides vital ecosystem functions such as soil fertilizer, nutrient recycling, pest and decrease regulation and erosion control and crop free pollination. Large number of students participated and presented their papers on the theme and highlighted the important of biodiversity for ecosystem on the earth. Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Katoch, Prof. Iftikhar Hussain Prof. Suresh Chander and Rafia Banoo shared their views on the occasion. The program was coordinated by Prof. Zakir Hussain NSS Program Officer of the College, while the formal vote of thanks' was presented by Akash Verma. |
