BLSKS felicitates artistes for their notable contribution in performing art

JAMMU, May 27: In continuation to the one month campaign of & To promote the traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) felicitated artistes certificates for their notable contribution in the field of performing art specially for their presentation of excellent Performances in 113th Friday Series Musical concert "BADTE KADAM", today at open air theatre , Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. A pledge was administered to more than 100 students , Staff and parents. Yash Pal Sharma , Municipal Councilor JMC Ward no 35 and Former chairman Swachh Bharat Jammu , who was the Chief Guest and over 20 artistes / technicians were honoured by giving certificates on the occasion who participates during"Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" & others prestigious performances. V.K.Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Dr.Anju Dogra, Medical Officer of Jammu and Kashmir Health Department, & Mukesh Singh, Media Person - The Shadow Newspaper and other dignitaries were the Guests of Honors on the occasion. The Chief Guest lauded the role of Bhartiya LokSangeet Kala Sansthan -(NGO) in promoting the Traditional folk culture of the region especially the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective & intends to reach out to the masses and spread awareness about substance abuse through various activities like Awareness generation programmes, Focus on higher educational Institutions, university campuses and schools, Reaching out to the Community and identifying dependent population, Focus on counselling and treatment facilities in hospitals and rehabilitation centers that have been geo-tagged, Capacity building programmes for service providers. The artists of BLSks presented theme based songs which were written by Dr.M.L.Dogra & the music was the composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, Blsks. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. The Main Attraction of the program were international renowned artiste Zulekha Farid and renowned artites Usha Raina, K.K. Joshio, Rajni Gupta, Sapana Devi & Afroz Aalam. Further Dr. M.L. Dogra announces this abhiyan will continue in other identified district like Doda, Poonch, Rajouri & Kistwar for the welfare of people.
