Early Times Report JAMMU, May 28: Today Sunrise Educational Trust (SET India) celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day in Sunrise Public School, a unit of SET India and with the community of slum women in Channi Himmat. The team members of SET India visited the slums of Channi Himmat and counseled women regarding the importance of maintaining healthy reproductive health during menstrual cycles. There are billions of women throughout the globe who are suffering with various diseases due to lack of awareness, societal taboos, cultural norms and poverty. Therefore, it becomes very important to generate awareness regarding healthy and hygienic menstrual health. Miss Mamta, project coordinator, Mrs. Asha Rani, teacher and Miss Afshan, project coordinator distributed sanitary pads among girls and women of the community. A healthy women can lead the world towards a healthy future. |
