3 bovine smuggling attempts foiled; 14 animals rescued; 5 smugglers arrested: Police

JAMMU, May 28: Drive against bovines smuggling in District Reasi continues, teams of Police Station Chassana led by Insp Parmod Singh Sho Chassana under the supervision of Chabail Singh SDPO Mahore laid special nakas in Chassana area, arrested 05 bovine smugglers and rescued 14 bovines from their possessions.
Team of Police Station Chassana established a surprise naka at fagooli tulli area Area during checking, intercepted one bovine smuggler namely Mohd Yousaf S/o Shamas Din R/o Dandote Tehsil Budhal
District and rescued 02 bovines from the possessions.
In this regards a case FIR No. 27/2022 U/S 188 IPC, has been registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation initiated.
In another incident Team of Police Station Chassana during surprise naka checking foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Gota area of Chassana, intercepted bovine smugglers namely Mohd Manir S/O Mohd Younis R/O Tulli, Tehsil Chassana District Reasi and rescued 05 bovines from their possessions. In this regards case FIR No. 28/2022 U/S 188 IPC. Stands registered at Police Station Chassana and investigations initiated.
In One more incident team of Police Station Chassana during surprise naka checking foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Labrh Mallikote area and intercepted three bovine smugglers namely Mohd Iqbal S/O Baga R/O Sarsote, Israr Hussain S/O Mohd Hussain R/O Gota and Zakar Hussain S/O Ghulam Din R/O Malikote Tehsil Chassana District Reasi and rescued 07 bovines from their possessions. In this regard a case FIR No. 29/2022 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages.
While Sharing the details SSP Reasi Conveyed that Reasi Police is leaving no stone unturned to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling which is prerequisite to establish peace and tranquility in the region.
