4 smugglers arrested; 19 bovines rescued: Police | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 4: Drive against bovines smuggling in District Reasi continues, teams of District Police Reasi laid special nakas, arrested 04 bovine smugglers while rescuing 19 bovines from their possessions. Team of Police Post Malikote led by Insp Parmod Singh SHO Police Station Chassana Under the Supervision of Chabail Singh SDPO Mahore laid a surprise naka at Malikote Area during checking intercepted two bovine smugglers and rescued 14 bovines from the possession of bovine smugglers namely 1. Mohd Akram S/O Mohd Younis R/O Tulli, 2. Mumtaz Ahmed S/O Mohd Younis R/O Tulli. Tehsil Chassana District Reasi. In this regards a case FIR No. 30/2022 U/S 188 IPC, has been registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation initiated unearth to backward and forward linkages. In another incident team of Police check Post Dharmari led by Insp Jeet Singh under the Supervision of SDPO Arnas Sh Pritpal Singh laid a surprise naka at sonchle Gali Near Dharmari during naka checking intercepted a one Tata Mobile bearing registration No. JK-20A 8937 and rescued 05 bovines from their possession of Bovine smugglers namely 01 Mohd Latief and Mohd Altaf both S/O Mohd Ismail R/O Wani Morh Mahore, Tehsil Mahore District Reasi. Both accused arrested on the spot and vehicle has been seized. In this regard a Case FIR No. 81/2022 u/s 188 IPC 11(1)(a) PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Arnas. SSP Reasi Sh Amit Gupta-JKPS Conveyed that Reasi Police is leaving no stone unturned to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling which is prerequisite to maintain peace and tranquility in the region. |
