GDC Sidhra organises Poster making Competition

JAMMU, June 9: To conduct the awareness programme on the Road Safety, the Road safety Club of Government Degree College Sidhra under the banner of 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' and agies of IQAC. Govt. Degree College Sidhra organized a Poster making Competition on the theme "Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha". The purpose of organizing the event was to sensitize the youth regarding care and support needed for accident victims during golden hour time. The purpose for the same was also to heighten their level of awareness about Road Safety and other related issues.
A number of Road Safety volunteers of the college from different semesters participated in the activity with full enthusiasm. The participants were judged by Dr. Anu Sharma Head Department of Botany and Dr. Pooja Sharma Head Department of Dogri of the college. In the poster making competition First position was bagged by Mukadas of B.A. 2nd sem. Second position was secured by Ritika Sharma and Stanzin Thupstan of B.A. 2nd sem. Third position was shared by Rahul Singh and Zaffar Ali of B.A. 2nd sem respectively. Judges for the event were Dr. Anu Sharma HOD Botany and Prof. Pooja Sharma.
Principal Dr. Bharat Bhushan Anand congratulated the winners and participants for contributing their efforts in creating awareness regarding road safety. The event was organized by Prof. Harpreet Kour, Convener Road Safety Club with the active support and coordination of Dr. Punam Rani, Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary and Dr. Satbir Kour - members of the Road Safety Club of the college.
