JAMMU, June 9: Police have arrested an accused wanted for the rape of a specially abled girl in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, here on Thursday. The police spokesman said that the accused identified as Sham Sunder of Laroka, Tehsil Qila Darhal, district Rajouri has been taken into custody as he was wanted in a case of rape of a specially abled girl. He said that on June 3, a case was registered in Police Station Nowshera on a complaint received from the girl's family. “The accused was at large but the police team led by SHO Rajesh Jasrotia and Incharge PP Bhawani, PSI Rajat Sharma launched the manhunt and arrested him from Bari Brahmana area of Samba,”police added. The legal formalities are under progress in the case, he said. |
