Remembering Rajni
6/9/2022 11:36:14 PM

On the 10th day kriya of a school teacher Rajni Bala—killed by terrorists in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district within her school premises—students and staff members of all the educational institutions across J&K observed 2-minute silence to pay tributes to the late teacher.
The government has also decided to name the Government High School in the Gopalpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam, where she was martyred after her name.
Killings of Rajni and other innocents, including Rahul Bhat, a KP employee within his office premises at Chadoora in central Kashmir and bank manager Vijay Kumar of Rajasthan in Kulgam district have sent shockwaves across J&K.
The ugly face of terror has devastated innocent families. It has once again proven that terror has no religion and anyone can be a target.
After the recent target killings the government has taken preventive measures to ensure the safety and security of the employees of minority communities working in the Valley.
They have been posted in the district headquarters and the security around the places where they are putting up has been enhanced.
The killings of innocents in Kashmir evoked widespread condemnation from every section of the society.
Members of the majority community joined Kashmiri Pandits at many places to protest against the actions of terrorists and denounced their acts of trying to trigger yet another exodus of minorities from Kashmir like 1990s.
Students and teachers of schools across J&K by observing 2-minute silence gave a befitting reply to the terrorists who are out to murder innocents.
The government has put its foot down and is not allowing Pakistan and the ultras sponsored by it to script yet another mass migration of minorities from Kashmir.
The terrorists are choosing soft targets to remain relevant as they have lost the capability to carry out any major strike against the security forces.
Their designs are being foiled as the security agencies are chasing them.
The recent killings have created fear among the people but they seem determined to fight the onslaught and are showing resilience in doing so. Sacrifices rendered by innocent souls won’t go in a vain as people of J&K are collectively standing against the terror.
