DC Jammu reviews functioning of Gandhinagar Hospital at Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting

JAMMU, June 16 : District Development Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa, who is also chairperson of Rogi Kalyan Samiti of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu, reviewed the functioning of the health institution at a meeting of the members of the Committee.
Among others present in the meeting included Chief Medical Officer Jammu Harbaksh Singh, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Narinder Singh Bhatial, other members of the Samiti besides other senior officers from Information, PDD AYUSH departments.
The Medical Superintendent welcomed the Chair and other participants and gave a power point presentation regarding the achievements and work done in the hospital.
He informed that the hospital has started a 2nd Innings Club for special care of senior citizens. He also apprised the Chair that 85% conversion of PMJAY has been achieved and the target has been set to achieve 100% conversion soon.
The Superintendent also apprised the Chair regarding certain requirements and issues of the Hospital including repair/renovation of old block of the Hospital, procurement of material, release of payment to outsourced staff, up-gradation of Lab Diagnostic Services, provision for uninterrupted power supply to the hospital etc.
Appreciating, the efforts of Hospital Administration in providing best possible health care services to the patients, the Deputy Commissioner directed the authorities to make the hospital people friendly and assured of full support from district administration for the upgradation of the hospital
