KISHTWAR, June 22: Acting tough against the corruption and misappropriation/diversion of funds, Assistant Commissioner Development Doda, Phulial Singh JKAS has today placed 02 employees of Rural Development Department under suspension with immediate effect. The suspended employees include Kashif Nadeem, then VLW and Zubair Alam, the then GRS of Panchayat Dhara-A.
Speaking to Early Times, senior officials inform that taking action on various complaints received from the public against the suspended employees /Sarpanch of Panchayat Dhara-A of Block Ghat, a committee was constituted by BDO Doda (Ghat) on the directions of Assistant Commissioner Development Doda to ascertain the facts. On conducting the inquiry by the committee it has been ascertained by the committee that a Community Sanitary Complex( CSC) has not been constructed at the site at Chatta, Ward No 06 at an estimated cost of Rs 3.90 lacs , Panchayat Dhara-A, but instead of it 02 toilet units were shown to be constructed to the committee at two different locations and the payment of Rs 3.90 lacs was drawn against the Community Sanitary Complex not constructed on the site.
During the visit of Assistant Commissioner Development Doda to the area on 13-06-2022, the general public also stated that the said CSC has not been constructed on ground but amount of Rs 3.90 lakh has been drawn for one Community Sanitory Complex under 14th FC fraudulently in connivance with the employees of Rural Development Department posted there.
BDO Dali Udyanpur has been appointed as inquiry officer who has been directed to submit the inquiry report within a period of 20 days.
It is pertinent to mention that Sarpanch had also allegedly transferred amount in the account of her Brother in Law (Brother of Husband) and also on the name of close friend of her husband who is also said to be an employee of the department in violation of the rules and regulations and the locals demanded registration of an FIR in both the cases and urged upon the LG Manoj Senha to order high level inquiry into massive embezzlement in Panchayat Dahara A of Doda District.
