GDC Kathua NSS celebrated National Doctors' Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 1: NSS volunteers Govt. Degree College Kathua celebrated National Doctor's Day by organizing a visit to District Hospital Kathua and interacting with the Doctors of the Hospital. NSS volunteers thanked Doctors for their selfless service for the cause of humanity and in saving the lives of millions of people. Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia appreciated NSS volunteers of the college for showing gratitude to all those doctors who have selflessly aided us in our time of need and tirelessly worked for the health of their patients. He said that Doctors are doing a tremendous job as they are working tirelessly and that too day and night for saving the lives of the patients. He said that during the COVID19 Pandemic, the day holds a special significance considering the fact how our doctors and physicians are working round the clock to help country fight the health crisis. This day serves to honour all those doctors, medical staff who have selflessly aided us in our time of need and worked tirelessly for our health. Senior faculty members Prof. Romilla Guleria, Prof. Raj Kiran, Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Prof. Rakesh Singh and Prof. Ritu Bhagat applauded the NSS volunteers celebrating National Doctors Day. NSS Programme Officer Prof. Manmohan Singh told that it becomes the moral duty of every citizen to honour the services of the doctors and associated workers of the health and medical department. He said that NSS volunteers of GDC Kathua took initiative and honoured them. He also told that Volunteers visited dispensaries, primary health centres, sub district hospital and Govt Medical college and hospital Kathua and presented them greetings cards along with flowers. NSS POs Dr. Neha Bandral and Dr.Suresh Sharma told that NSS Volunteers also distributed sweets among the staff of health and medical department. NSS clap was also clapped in the honour of medical fraternity. In the message to the community Volunteers said that they are savoiur of life and their status is next to God. So it has become the moral duty for all to celebrates their day and honour them. The day was celebrated under the patronage of Principal Prof Sumnesh Singh Jasrotia GDC Kathua and the supervision of NSS Prog officers Prof Manmohan Singh, Dr. Neha Bandral and Dr.Suresh Sharma. |
