3 Amarnath pilgrims injured in Ramban accident | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 1: Three Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured on Friday in an accident in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. Deputy Commissioner Masrat-ul-Islam tweeted: "Minor injuries to three pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra when their vehicle met with an accident near Sher Bibi on NH-44. Shifted to SDH Banihal... They had left early morning from Chanderkote Yatri Niwas. "The injured yatris whose vehicle had turned turtle at Digdole today morning have been shifted to Anantnag. They are stable. Their vehicle was not part of Holy Yatra convoy." The injured pilgrims were travelling separately. On Friday morning a fresh batch of 6,440 Amarnath pilgrims left from Jammu base camp for cave shrine on third day of pilgrimage. The yatra was flagged of from Jammu on June 29 by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. |
