Former Legislator honours meritorious students | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 8: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa today honoured students, who excelled in class 12th result. Randhawa honoured Harsh Gupta and Vaishali Kumari for securing 99 per cent marks in the recently declared class 12th result by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). Former Legislator emphasized upon the importance of taking admission in a good college which will facilitate timely completion of studies. He also appealed to other students to get inspiration from these meritorious students. He further added, "Change is a new constant and it is required for nation building. Students should be nourished with this thought process and teachers should adapt to such changes. The wholesome development of a child or a person is very important for nation building and progress. As a nation, we need to create educated and creative personalities." Randhawa said that besides studying hard the students should aspire to become responsible citizens imbued with good moral character. Emphasising on educating a child, Randhawa said, "A good education system develops the mind of a child towards progress, nationalism and social development. Children must be allowed to think, analyse, debate, react and come up with their own conclusion." "These students have achieved this high rank with their efforts and dedication and others should also follow them", Randhawa said and also appreciated their parents and teachers for providing their full cooperation to the students to achieve this feat. He said that the Government is making every effort to improve the education scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, adding that various schemes have been launched to achieve improvement in this regard. "These students have achieved this high rank with their efforts and dedication and others should also follow them", Randhawa said and also appreciated their parents and teachers for providing their full cooperation to the students to achieve this feat. |
