Early Times Report JAMMU, July 15: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has always been committed towards its social responsibilities along with its primary objective of maintaining Internal Security. The 76 Battalion, CRPF, Channi Himmat Jammu has organized a Tree Plantation Drive under the leadership of T.H. Khan, Commandant and Smt. Rukhsana Khan, CRPF Family Welfare Association Head, at Channi Himmat Jammu. During this year monsoon, 3000 saplings will be planted by 76 Battalion at various locations in Jammu and Doda district. Speaking on the occasion, Shri T.H.Khan, Commandant emphasized the importance of tree plantation for the community and this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness among the public about environment conservation. These trees are an investment for the future generations that shall provide natural shade in open spaces and provide pure air to breathe by increasing green cover. He further added that health of the environment is as important as the health of the individual. On this occasion, officers of 76 Bn Smt. Kamal Sisodiya, Shri Mahendra Singh along with other officers, jawans and their families also actively participated in this drive. |
