Indian team won silver in Int’l Shooting Sports Federation held at Korea | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 17: India won a silver medal in the men’s 50 Meter rifle 3-position team event at the International Shooting Sports Federation Shooting World Cup on Sunday being held at Korea. The trio of Chain Singh, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Sanjeev Singh clinched the silver medal in the men’s 3P team event. The Indian trio, which had finished second in the qualification stage, faced a strong Czech Republic team in the gold medal match. Despite putting up a strong fight, the Indians went down 12-16 to the trio of Petr Nymbursky, Filip Nepejchal, and Jiri Privratsky in the finals.. Notably this is the first World cup of this year for Olympic shooter Chain Singh producing contestant medals for the country. He is a gem of Jammu and Kashmir and an inspiration for the young generation of the UT. |
