Jammu, July 29: All the research scholars of P.G. Department of Dogri accorded warm farewell to their retiring Professor namely Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas, Dean Faculty of Arts, Convener BOS in Dogri and HOD Dogri on attaining the age of superannuation today.
In a simple but impressive function organized in the department which was attended by the all HODs of Languages Departments, Research Scholars and students, a warm farewell was given to Prof. Manhas.
Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, former Dean Faculty of Arts & former HOD Urdu and Director, IMFA, University of Jammu while speaking on the occasion, threw light on the academic as well as administrative achievements of Prof. Manhas. Prof. Sushma Gupta, HOD Sanskrit & Prof. Baljeet Kour, HOD Punjabi also spoke on this occasion. They all wished him happy and prosperous post retirement life.
Dr. Parduman Singh also spoke on the occasion. In his address, he shared the rich research experience and guidance showered by Prof. Manhas on all his scholars. He further said that by dint of hard work of Prof. Manhas, all the scholars produced by him are appointed as Asstt. Professor in Dogri, in the Higher Education Department of J&KUT. On behalf of all scholars, he also wished him happy and prosperous post retirement life. |
